Linux 系統運維工程師
Job Description:
1. Ensure that system availability targets are exceeded for assigned systems.
2. Change and problem management targets are exceeded.
3. Ensure that customer satisfactory levels are exceeded.
4. Assist with project deployment
Job Responsibilities:
1. Plan upgrades and other changes to the LINUX environment
2. Actively and pre-emptively determine possible failure faults and causes
3. Provide team leaders with input re projects/direction when required
4. Manage and resolve problems identified by users or monitoring software
5. Work with change and problem management tools
6. Provide technical assistance to the other members of the System Administration team
7. Hardware fault detection and correction
8. Liaise with customer accounts as required
Job Requirements
- Mandatory Skills Requirements
1. Strong RedHat and SUSE, Linux System administration experience
2. Strong problem determination skills
3. Ability to work unsupervised on several issues concurrently
4. Able to perform disk management functions such as extending logical volumes, creating file systems, mirroring disks
5. Understanding and ability to manually rebuild a kernel
6. Proficient in TCP/IP
7. Very comfortable with problem and change management practices.
8. Excellent X-Series Installation, configuration and trouble shooting
9. GFS and GPFS skills
10. DNS / DHCP skills
11. Good Documentation Skills/ Technical Doco i.e. Runbook
12. Flexible working hour eg. Weekend work, after hours
13. Performance monitoring and trouble-shooting.
14. Sound Scripting skills
15. Able to perform Operating System and Production Upgrades
16. Ability to supervise others
17. Liaise with Vendor i.e. IBM ITS
18. Strong understanding and awareness of Linux system security

Job Responsibilities
-Provide Windows Server management services, supporting hardware and software in upgrade/patching, and system performance/capability/capacity management，administer supported backup and storage system.
-Support with the identification of problems related to product/application installation, update, configuration, operations, performance or other aspects of information technology products & services.
-Suggests and/or implements solutions to resolve problems & ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
-Interfaces with customer for problem resolution.
-Provide the security administration on managed system with implementation & maintenance of the action solutions. And fix every security issues and vulnerabilities once they are found or reported.
-Supports the coordination of the processing environments.
Job Requirements (skills/experiences)
Strong understanding of Windows 2003, Windows 2008 and VMware ESXi(familiarity for Unix operating systems is a plus)
Good understanding of Windows Active Directory and Windows cluster
Good understanding of windows infrastructure applications, such as DNS, DHCP, File & print server.
Good understanding windows security. Experience in server security hardening and security violation remediation is preferred.
Good understanding of Intel server hardware, IBM xSeries, Compaq/HP hardware
Scripting abilities are a big plus (vbs, WSH, WMI, etc.)
Solid understanding of patch management best practices (Microsoft Software Update Services, patch testing, software deployment, etc.)
Skills about TSM, Veritas, Legato, Arcserver, Symantec backup are plus
Citrix and Antivirus are plus.
Network Knowledge: Fundamental understanding of Windows security from a LAN, WAN, and DMZ perspective. Able to configure/troubleshoot network connections, DHCP/IP, NAT and bridged network
Strong independent problem solving skills
Good Communication Skills (Written & Oral), Interpersonal Skills & Cross Organization Teaming
Leadership experience is plus
Customer Relationship Management
Ability to work independently
Flexible to travel to HK
Qualifications (Education/Major/Certificates)
1. Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
2. Fluent English is required (speak, write and read),
3. Fluent Cantonese is a plus.
4. Must be flexible and able to work overtime when required
5. Must be flexible and able to provide off-shift and/or weekend coverage as needed.
6. Previous working experience in similar position, have performed hands-on server management for more than 4 years.
7. MCSE, MCITP, ITIL are plus

Additional information
Requirements:
Experienced developer who is familiar with AIX/Linux/Solaris/Unix is acceptable while experienced in maintenance on AIX/Linux/Solaris/Unix is highly preferred.
Working Time:
Service Coverage : 9 hours
5 days (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM JST)
Weekday midnight/weekend/holiday work
: 0-5 times/month
Fundamentally, should work as IBM-Japan working calendar and working time.
