Senior System Administrator

Location: Shenzhen

Description of the Role:

OS Installation
Configuration/Standards
Account provisioning
Privilege (root) delegation
Maintenance/Upgrades/Patching
Support  for application teams and end customers
Project Support
OS Backup/Recovery
Break/Fix activities (system recovery)
Monitoring (log reviews)
Compliance related activities (SOX/Audit)
Automation (scripting/scheduling)
Diagnostics (troubleshooting)
Vendor management
Decommission related activities


Knowledge and Skills:

Senior UNIX/Linux System Admin position.
Around 10 years experiences administering UNIX/Linux in large, production IT environment.
Skilled in both IBM/Power, PowerVM, along with expert level skills in AIX versions 5-7.x.
Strong on Redhat Linux (x86 based) on both physical and virtual (VMware) environments.
UNIX skills on the HPUX and Solaris, and SLES (zLinux) platforms is a plus.
Learn and work with Openview (system monitoring), Netbackup/Networker (OS backups), and ServiceNow for help desk tickets/change tickets.
Good English skill and communication skill.
Education and Certification(s):

Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science or related discipline.
