Systems administration experience in a high availability environment managing large deployments   

Practical knowledge of IP networking, routing and firewalls

Experience administering infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP, TFTP, HTTP, etc.

Able to take ownership of unfamiliar tasks and problems and see them through to completion

Able to communicate clearly and efficiently in English, especially using email and IRC

Must be self-driven, able to troubleshoot and willing ask others when appropriate to find answers

Must be motivated and organised; capable of working from home full time and being highly productive

Familiarity with Ubuntu or Debian

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Experience in a service provider environment

Knowledge of Openstack, Juju and MAAS

Experience with LXC, KVM

Experience with SoftLayer

Prior experience working from home full time and/or working with a distributed team

Scripting skills with Bash, Python and/or Go

Familiarity with Software Defined Networks

Experience in a direct support role
