一：選擇硬盤配置，陣列和非陣列方式，見服務(wù)器陣列配置
二：確定BTLD link 串，及SCO 504光驅(qū)的補(bǔ)丁程序。
A: 如果為SCSI光驅(qū)，選擇的BTLD 與硬盤一樣。
B: 各種服務(wù)器的和控制器的BTLD 列表如下：

例如：以LH6000說明：
1： 陣列連接串為：

defbootstr link=”amird” Sdsk=amird(0，0，0，0) Srom=wd(0，0，0，0)
scsi.noscan （記住要區(qū)分大小寫）, 接著按回車。
　
2： 非陣列連接串為：
defbootstr link=”slha” Sdsk=slha(0，0，0，0) Srom=wd(0，0，0，0)
scsi.noscan （記住要區(qū)分大小寫）, 接著按回車。
　
C： 如果為非陣列方式，硬盤的SCSI ID好一定要為0。
D: 對(duì)于老版本（L.18.02和以前的）導(dǎo)航盤做出的symbios驅(qū)動(dòng)包軟盤，slha 一定要用symha 代替。
E: 對(duì)于SCO UNIX504, 由于SCO Unix 5.0.4自帶的 IDE 驅(qū)動(dòng)"wd"包有缺陷，對(duì)于D4384-60002這種光驅(qū),必須使用SCO公司提供的補(bǔ)丁包OSS478A來代替"wd"包，否則會(huì)在從光盤上讀取文件時(shí)死機(jī)。
OSS478A的使用方法如下：
1. 首先要從SCO的網(wǎng)址 上 download oss478a.z 補(bǔ)丁到軟盤上。
2.在Unix 5.0.4環(huán)境下，將下載的DOS格式的oss478a.z文件轉(zhuǎn)換成Unix格式。命令如下：
# doscp /dev/rfd0135ds18:oss478a.z oss478a.Z
# uncompress oss478a
# dd if=oss478a of=/dev/rfd0135ds18 bs=18k
三：安裝過程：
插 入 Boot 盤 并 重 啟 系 統(tǒng)， 出 Boot: 時(shí), 鍵入連接串，以LH4陣列為例：

defbootstr link="amird symha" Sdsk=amird(0，0，0，0) Srom=wd(0，0，0，0)
scsi.noscan （記住要區(qū)分大小寫）, 接著按回車。
　
2. 當(dāng)屏幕提示：
Please insert the fd(60)amird volume and press ,
Or ‘q’ to quit:
插入標(biāo)注: ‘a(chǎn)mird’ Drivers-SCO UNIX 5.0.4 - LH-3 的軟盤, 敲 Enter
3. 當(dāng)屏幕提示：

插入標(biāo)注: ‘symha’Drivers-SCO UNIX 5.0.4 - LH-3 的軟盤，敲 Enter。
4. 當(dāng)屏幕顯示：

‘a(chǎn)’ to add “slhainit” at the end [default],
‘n’ to do nothing, or ‘q’ to quit:
選擇slhainit, (可能為28） 回車
5. 當(dāng)屏幕顯示：

‘a(chǎn)’ to add “slhapoll” at the end [default],
‘n’ to do nothing, or ‘q’ to quit:
敲 2, 回車

機(jī)器提示：‘Insert the Boot Disk and press ’，插入Boot盤，按回車。

當(dāng)屏幕顯示：‘Press to begin installation’時(shí)，按回車開始安裝。

機(jī)器提示：‘Please insert (amird) package BTLD disk into the floppy drive so
that it can be extracted onto the hard disk for incorporation into
the link-kit.’
插入標(biāo)注: ‘a(chǎn)mird’ Drivers-SCO UNIX 5.0.4 - LH-3 的軟盤，按回車。

選擇’Contiue’，按回車。
　
10. 機(jī)器提示： Media device to be used:
IDE CD ROM
IDE Controller: Primary
Master or Slave: master
Accept above choices
時(shí)，將光標(biāo)移至Accept above choice 敲 ENTER

　
11. 出現(xiàn) To reset your media choice, select cancel
OK Cancel
確認(rèn)Sco unix 5.0.4的光盤已經(jīng)放入Cd-rom中， 將光標(biāo)置于 OK ，敲 Enter

輸 出 正 確 的 license number 及 license code， 并 按 回 車。

15. 出 Upgrade Fresh 后 , 選 Fresh 按 回 車。

名。選擇’Accept above choices’繼續(xù)。
18. 出現(xiàn)

如果需大 型 數(shù) 據(jù) 庫 如 Informix，Database Service: 要 變 為 YES。
　
19. 出現(xiàn):
Hard disk setup: Unix only: BadTracking Off
Optional Software: SCO OpenServer Enterprise system 241MB
Accept above choices
‘Hard disk setup’不需要改動(dòng)，但可以將BadTracking一項(xiàng)置成on，檢
測(cè)硬盤有沒有壞道。用戶可以在Optional Software項(xiàng)中選擇需要安裝的
軟件，但是要注意一點(diǎn)：如果用戶的機(jī)器配置了雙CPU，千萬不要選擇安
裝”ARCserver/Open Lite from Cheyenne (23.5 MB)”這個(gè)軟件，它和
SCO 的SMP包相沖突，這是SCO Unix5.0.4系統(tǒng)的問題。
選擇‘Accept above choices’，按回車?yán)^續(xù)。

進(jìn) 行 Auto defect 時(shí) 很 少 能 檢 測(cè) 出 網(wǎng) 卡， 但 安 裝 后 可 配 置。 一 般
將 Network card 設(shè)為 Deffered。IBM VGA 的 顏 色 支 持 到 16 種。安
裝后運(yùn)行 mkdev graphics， 再 對(duì) 顯 卡 及 顏 色 數(shù) 進(jìn) 行 配 置。Mouse
這里選擇’High resolution Keyboard Mouse’

這時(shí)插入標(biāo)注: ‘symha’Drivers-SCO UNIX 5.0.4 - LH-3 的軟盤，回車。

系統(tǒng)開始安裝。

系統(tǒng)安裝完畢后，重啟機(jī)器出現(xiàn) boot:， 按回車,第一次啟動(dòng)系統(tǒng)。

配置網(wǎng)卡：
# scoadmin
software manager à software à Install New Software à select “scosysv” à 在Media Device 下用空格select “Floppy disk” à continue à 讀盤后屏幕出現(xiàn)“Hewlett-Packard Network Drivers (ver 1.4.6)”à select “Install”à 出現(xiàn)“Installation complete”選擇
Networksà Network configuration manager à hardwareà Add new adapter à 找到“HP Netserver 10/100 TX Lan Adapter –pci Bus# 2,Device# 3,Function 0”à continueà Add protocol時(shí)選擇相應(yīng)協(xié)議à ”Add”à 按照相應(yīng)協(xié)議要求輸入相應(yīng)項(xiàng)目à Configuration networking product “The following products were successfully configured into the system sco TCP/IP”
HP Netserver 10/100 TX LAN Adapter –pci bus#2,Device# 3,function 0à OK
重新連接核心并重啟系統(tǒng)。

安裝SCO UNIX對(duì)稱多處理（SMP）軟件包：(如果用戶機(jī)器只是單個(gè)CPU的 話，
　
就跳過此步)。
用“scoadmin”命令進(jìn)入管理菜單，選擇’Software Manager’一項(xiàng)，在’Software
Manager’中，選擇菜單Software中的Install New…一項(xiàng)，再選擇從From
scosysv安裝，選擇介質(zhì)為’CD-ROM Drive 0’，按Continue繼續(xù)，在軟件庫
中選擇’SCO Symmetrical Multiprocessing (ver 1.1.0EB)’一項(xiàng)安裝，接著按
系統(tǒng)要求輸入License Number,License Code和License Data。安裝完畢后，
重新連接核心并重啟系統(tǒng)。
29. 安裝磁帶機(jī)：首先要確認(rèn)硬件連接正確，在啟動(dòng)機(jī)器時(shí)，記住系統(tǒng)檢測(cè)過程
中提示的磁帶機(jī)的SCSI ID號(hào)（缺省值為3）。進(jìn)入U(xiǎn)NIX系統(tǒng)，在系統(tǒng)維
護(hù)狀態(tài)（單用戶狀態(tài)）下配置磁帶機(jī)，鍵入命令：mkdev tape

30. 附加邏輯盤安裝

Sco Unix不能自動(dòng)識(shí)別附加邏輯盤，需要手動(dòng)安裝，有以下步驟：
　
(1)進(jìn)入U(xiǎn)NIX系統(tǒng)，在系統(tǒng)維護(hù)狀態(tài)（單用戶裝態(tài)）下，鍵入命令
# mkdev hd
(2)屏幕顯示

Add a hard disk to IDA controller
(3)選擇2
(4)屏幕顯示：

根據(jù)提示 按 "e" 設(shè)定分區(qū)的結(jié)尾的塊值。
"n" 給相應(yīng)分區(qū)命名。
"r" 恢復(fù)原分區(qū)。
分區(qū)劃分滿意后，按 q 并回車。

取出軟盤,按任意鍵，退出依系統(tǒng)提示重新鏈接內(nèi)核并reboot, 第二塊邏輯
盤就安裝成功了。
31. 設(shè)置顯示卡和分辨率
以系統(tǒng)維護(hù)狀態(tài)（單用戶裝態(tài)）下進(jìn)入U(xiǎn)NIX系統(tǒng)，在，鍵入命令 ‘ scoadmin’，
進(jìn)入管理菜單。

在管理菜單中選擇‘Video Configuration Manager’，進(jìn)入‘顯示設(shè)置管理’

選擇‘Add adapter’項(xiàng)，在顯示卡驅(qū)動(dòng)庫中選中‘Cirrus Logic GD5446’一項(xiàng)。

用戶如果是14’顯示器，‘Monitor’選擇’other 14 inch’一項(xiàng)。
　
（4）Resolution’可以設(shè)成‘VGA 640*480 256 color 60Hz’。
（5）重新連接內(nèi)核。重新啟動(dòng)，顯示卡設(shè)置完成。
